White Dragon

A few days ago, I had a great conversation with director and producer Jessica Wu about lifting fellow sympathetic, passionate and like-minded people alongside your own accomplishments to create compelling and intimate works. Jessica’s directorial debut, White Dragon is a mythology inspired by the Dragon tiles in mahjong and tells the story of a mysterious outsider who challenges a gang to a mahjong showdown over a prized possession. The fictional narrative sets the traditional game of mahjong in a decrepit but seductive world reminiscent of Hong Kong in Wong Kar-wai's films.
