Ariana Gupta is a designer and filmmaker based in New York, originally from Mumbai, India.
She explores the idea of family and the women who raised her through her work. For her mother’s 50th birthday, Ariana dug through her family archive and screen-printed images on a white silk saree. The zine acts as a companion to her mother’s gift. It documents memories, objects, smells, places, moments, and history she has shared with her mother. The book is set in English and Bengali (her mother tongue).
