Writing Practice: 爱

Vic Xu is an artist and researcher based in Providence, RI. Fostering a mixed media practice across film, painting, and design, they aim to create relations of resistance and care in every process.

Writing Practice: 爱 navigates reflections on love through the repeated routine of calligraphy practice and a pixelated photograph. The lost pixels of the photo create the shape of 爱 to be traced in three lessons – each tracing offering a new possibility to re-member how love has been taught, misunderstood, and given anew.
