Bad Translation marks Yellowtechnica (Derrick Cheung)’s entry into Cantonese language music, with a music video that brings to mind Wong Kar Wai’s Fallen Angels and Hsiao Hsien Hou’s Millennium Mambo. As Cheung chases elusive Joi through a pulsing, neon-lit night we are transported into the angsty, alluring and self-destructive portrait of youth spent from sunset to sunrise. Filmed by an almost entirely Asian cast and crew, we are excited to present to you this new film.
